Heath Aster - Symphyotrichum ericoides
Heath Aster is a native plant that grows from 6" to 3' tall.
Heath Aster grows in part shade and full sun in areas that have dry to moderate moisture such as meadows and prairies.
Heath Aster flowers are between 1/2" - 1" wide and each flower has between 8-20 white rays. The flower clusters are variable. They may have only a few flowers or can be tightly packed like a cylindrical spike. The plant can take on a bushy appearance.
Blooms: August - October
Other names include: White Heath Aster, White Prairie Aster, Frost Aster, Michaelmas daisy.
