Chris Noth - Actor; born Christopher David Noth on November 13, 1954 in Madison, Wisconsin. Best known for roles such as Det. Mike Logan on "Law & Order," Mr. Big on "Sex and the City" and Gov. Peter Florrick on "The Good Wife."

Noth was the youngest of three sons of Jeanne L. Parr, and Charles James Noth. Jeanne Parr attended UW-Madsion and was a local celebrity who hosted a daily Madison radio show at WKOW. She graduated into television news and ultimately left Madison in 1959 to do the weather at a television station in New Haven, Connecticut — eventually becoming one of the first female correspondents for CBS News in New York. Charles Noth, a former Navy pilot, was an insurance salesman turned marketing-company executive who died after a car accident in 1966.

After Noth earned an MFA from the Yale School of Drama in 1985, where he acted in some 25 plays and was a pupil of acting coach Sanford Meisne, he played small parts in films before joining the cast of Hill Street Blues in the show's sixth season (1986). He filmed a pilot for the legal/police drama series Law & Order in 1988 and was with the show from 1990 to 1995 until he was fired from the series. In 1998, Noth returned to prime-time television when he took the role of Carrie Bradshaw's enigmatic on-again, off-again boyfriend "Big" on HBO's Sex and the City where he played the role for six years.

In 2009, Noth starred with Julianna Margulies in the CBS series The Good Wife where he played the disgraced Chicago politician, Peter Florrick, for 101 episodes until 2016.
