Laura Ingalls Wilder was born on February 7, 1867 in Pepin County, Wisconsin.

Laura Ingalls Wilder - Author (Little House on the Prairie); born on February 7, 1867 in Pepin County, Wisconsin. Laura Ingalls Wilder is known for the Little House on the Prairie series of children's books released from 1932 to 1943 which were based on her childhood as part of a pioneer family; including, Little House in the Big Woods(1932) that chronicles her years living in the Big Woods region of Wisconsin just north of the village of Pepin.

Her novel Little House on the Prairie was the bases for the television series of the same name that aired 204 episodes between September 11, 1974 – March 21, 1983. It was only appropriate that the actress Bonnie Bartlett, born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, appeared on the series four seasons as the character Grace Snider Edwards.
