Woodland Phlox - Phlox divaricata (Ephemeral)
Woodland Phlox are native to forests and fields in eastern North America.
Woodland Phlox petals are a variety of pastel colors: blue-lavender, light purple, pink, or white.
The flower has five petals fused at the base into a thin tube.
Other names include: Wild Blue Phlox, Blue Phlox, Forest Phlox or Wild Sweet William. Phlox: from the Greek phlox, "flame."
