Heavy, wet, new snow.

Dripping from branches on trail.

Footing not assured.



Crow high in tree top.

Calling out to whoever.

Dogs choose to ignore.



Ice five inches thick.

Tip-ups are set to catch pike.

Luck to those who wait.
