Three Haiku
Groundhog day today.
It's two, two, twenty twenty.
He saw his shadow.
Forty-five degrees.
Snow and ice dripping from roofs.
Sunshine – finally.
Distant train whistle.
Geese cacophony from marsh.
Fishermen drill holes.
NOTE: Jimmy the Groundhog in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin saw his shadow and predicts six more weeks of winter; however, Punxsutawney Phil disagrees.
