Three Haiku
Wild turkeys stop cars ...
on road by Old Spring Tavern.
Real – not the bourbon.
Sharp nineteen degrees.
Muskrat swims out of cattails,
sees mallards and dives.
Silence on Wingra.
Until a crow gang appears –
changing the lake's zen.
